Founded in 2014 in Vancouver, LumiaSolar has grown from a small BC-based installer into a trusted solar company with over 2,400 installations across Canada and Europe.
Our Story
Built on a Simple Belief
LumiaSolar was founded in Vancouver by a team of electrical engineers and energy consultants who believed that clean, affordable solar power shouldn't be complicated. In 2014, we completed our first residential installation in Burnaby, BC — a 6.4 kW system that still runs perfectly today.
Over the next decade, we expanded province by province across Canada, then crossed the Atlantic to bring our proven installation standards to Europe. Today our team of 120+ certified professionals serves homeowners and businesses from Victoria to Vienna.
Whether it's a prairie winter in Saskatchewan or a Mediterranean summer in Spain, every system we design is engineered for local climate conditions — because we know that great solar demands a local standard, everywhere we work.

Co-Founder & CEO
Electrical engineer with 18 years in renewable energy. Marcus leads company strategy and has overseen every major expansion — from BC to Bavaria.
Priya Sharma
Co-Founder & CTO
Former grid engineer at BC Hydro. Priya architects every system design standard and leads our engineering team across Canadian and European markets.
Daniel Tremblay
VP Operations, Canada
Based in Montreal, Daniel manages our Canadian operations and has led successful expansions into Quebec, Ontario, and the Maritime provinces.
Elena Hoffmann
VP Operations, Europe
Based in Amsterdam, Elena leads our European expansion, bringing 12 years of renewable energy project management experience across Germany, the Netherlands, and beyond.
